In addition to the events produced by the City, many other community organizations hold events in the City of Spartanburg. From small neighborhood block parties to large festivals, there's always something happening in Spartanburg. If you would like to plan an event in the City, please complete and submit one of our special event permits.
Permit Options
All events expecting attendance of over 200 people or that require any form of City support services must complete the Special Event Permit and submit the appropriate application fee.
Small gatherings of under 200 people (not including block parties), will use the Small Gatherings Permit. Small Gatherings do not include road closures. If your event requires road closures, you must fill out the Special Event Permit.
If your event is fairly simple in nature, like a Neighborhood Block Party, and you do not require any City support services, please complete the Block Party Permit and submit the appropriate application fee.
Applications are not considered until the application fee has been paid.
